"Bother the coffee shop! Where's the Tea Room!
Beginning in the late 1880's, in both England and America, fine
hotels began to feature Tea Rooms, where our Victorian
counterparts would enjoy an afternoon "tea and
chatter."
Certain hotels, like The Plaza in New York and The Ritz in
Boston, were especially noted for their tea services.
Now, 100 years later, Tea Rooms are staging a comeback. Even in
America, where coffee rules, Tea Rooms are appearing everywhere.
